Henlu Van Der Westhuizen

After finishing his 4 year degree in Sports Science with Psychology and his Business Diploma at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa), Henlu worked as a Fitness Director on board 5 Star luxury cruise ships for 3 years. Henlu has worked and trained people all over the world, including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Canada, Bermuda, Jamaica, Bahamas and Mexico.
Henlu has been in the Health and Fitness Industry for more than 16 years and except for being a Master Personal Trainer in London where he trains private and corporate clients – Henlu is one of the founders of HHH Health Retreats.
Henlu teaches Bootcamps and Group Training Classes all over London and he also teaches one to one Yoga & Pilates, Spinning, Body Pump/Conditioning and other group classes in various gyms in London eg Esporta, Virgin Active, LA Fitness, GLL, The Hilton etc.
Henlu’s area of expertise lies in core strengthening/posture correction/flexibility and his Yoga and Pilates based background differentiates him from a normal trainer and therefore his clients hugely benefit with regards to overall wellbeing, flexibility & stress relief with his hands-on assisted stretching approach. He also specializes in pre – and post natal training, strength and conditioning for sport specific athletes.

Chef Alan brings more than 28 years of culinary experience to the team at HHH Health Retreats.
Gaining his traditional apprenticeship in Sydney, Australia, he quickly moved up the cheffing ladder and spent 10 years working in London’s restaurants and hotels such as Le Bouffe in Battersea, 190 Queensgate in South Kensington, AQUA river brasserie in Vauxhall & The Swag & Tails in Knightsbridge – getting into the acclaimed Michelin Guide.
He has detailed familiarity with various international cuisines including European, Asian and African and has worked as executive chef at many luxury properties such as The 5 Star Four Seasons Fairways at Quinta do Lago, Portugal, – Jnane Tamsna Boutique Hotel in Marrakech, Morocco, – Niraamaya Retreats in India – The 5 Star Eastin Grand Sathorn in Bangkok, and The 5 Star Kempinski Zamani Hotel on Zanzibar Island, Tanzania.
Chef Alan also specializes in health, raw, detox and SPA cuisine, having worked with KX Gym in Chelsea, England’s most exclusive club as executive pre opening & opening chef – some of the club’s members included Kylie Minogue, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hugh Grant, Natalie Imbruglia and SEAL. He also worked for In:spa Retreats as retreat chef for seven years.
Most recently he has worked as private chef for Billionaires Rajeev Chandrasaker in Bangalore, India, Nana Otedola in London, and as consultant to the luxurious Emelisse 5* Hotel on Kefalonia Island, Greece.
Yoga Teacher & Personal Trainer
Jacqueline Porjes uses a threefold approach to achieving the goal of living a fitter life:physical training, good nutrition and a healthy environment.
With a background in a stressful sales career, a reliance on unhealthy foods and a smoking habit Jacqui made the decision many years ago to change her own life. After qualifying as a personal trainer, running her first marathon and gaining experience in various London leisure centres she set up her company AFitterLife to help, motivate and inspire others to do the same.
As a mother she saw the importance of combating the post-baby blues with outdoor exercise in the company of other new mums. She set up a local Buggyfit group to train postnatal women in a fun, safe environment.
She enjoys working with both groups and individuals in various London parks to realise their potential, combining cardio, pilates and yoga with excellent results. Jacqui is a fully qualified yoga teacher and a member of the British wheel of yoga.
She specialises in postnatal and Vinyasa flow yoga.Jacqui has studied Nutritional Therapy with the Kevala Centre. She provides her clients with simple, easy to follow healthy eating programmes that compliment physical training.
She recognises the importance of providing both advice and support on the journey to healthy living.

Delia started exploring the world of yoga and meditation in 1999 and has since been intrigued at how it transforms your perception of life and how the practice of yoga helps to improve your relationship with your body, which impacts your relationship with the world around you. Delia completed her first 300 hour teacher training in Thailand in 2012, with Jivani Yoga School (formerly Virajati Yoga School), with Ashton Szabo, Octavio Salvado and Emma Warmington.
She followed this with a second 200 hour training in 2014-15, in London with Bridget Woods Kramer, the UK’s most Senior Anusara teacher. Yoga is a never ending path of learning, she continues to grow and develop through her practice, studies and trainings.
Saul has been a personal trainer for over 6 years. Working predominately around gyms and fitness clubs in London, he has competed in the highest levels of fitness, rugby and modelling. Despite his sporting background, Saul now specialises in helping clients achieve their goals in fitness and their own personal lives.

James has been working in the health and fitness industry for over twenty years in countries all over the world and holds qualifications in Personal training and pre/anti natal training. James is currently the head coach in the prestigious St Paul’s health club at the Grange hotel EC4 where he trains a variety of individuals ranging from professional and recreational athletes to models, actors and people that just want to keep fit.
James likes to blend classic aesthetic training methods with both corrective and functional exercises, this mixture of old and new enables his clients to create a body that looks and moves and feels much younger than its years. In his spare time James is an avid marathon runner and tennis player and has participated in over twelve marathons including New York, London and Paris.

Pete is a fully qualified sports therapist and has been working in this area for over 15 years.

Liz Lark has been teaching yoga since 1990’s, training first with the British Wheel of Yoga. Absorbed in the health & balance of the bodymind through alignment, gesture, breathing, sequencing and relaxation her inspiration comes from the series of Astanga Vinyasa tradition and other Hatha yoga practises including yoga nidra (deep relaxation).
Liz adapts yoga postures for each individual in order to ‘chisel’ into the form and help to sculpt and free each unique body. Workshops with leading teachers including Richard Freeman and Rod Stryker at The Life Centre in London have inspired Liz to explore the unfolding journey into the liberating simplicity and spaciousness that Yoga brings.
She is a board member for The Life Centre Teachers Training Course, and runs retreats and workshops nationally and internationally. Having grown up in new york and los angeles, kate walker (nee harrell) started studying yoga in 1998. She was the weakest, most inflexible person in the yoga room, but persevered as the quiet and calm internal state was unlike anything she had ever known.
After a few years, she felt that the strong, dynamic, flowing yoga classes she loved often lacked both the time to breathe deeply and slowly, and alignment-based instruction to keep her safe and conscious. Kate decided to start teaching. she first was qualified by tripsichore yoga, and then max strom’s advanced teacher training in venice, california, then took part in other teacher trainings and intensives, including with seane corn, rodney yee and annie carpenter.
Kate now teaches a slow, mindful, conscious but strong and challenging style of vinyasa flow, with attention to breath and alignment. She specialises in teaching multi-levels, with options for all levels at every turn, so that students can work with respect to their own bodies rather than their egos.

Divan has been working as a master trainer and sports therapist in London for over a decade. It started for him in South Africa where he holds a Sport Science degree from Stellenbosch University with major in Psychology and various other exercise related diplomas like advance swiss ball training ,pilates, pre and post natal specific training, aqua aerobics and aqua rehabilitation.
Divans approach to fitness is to use corrective and functional movements and mix in some fun to make his sessions very specific and tailored to his clients needs.

Divan has a lot of experience in the leisure business having worked for Inspa Retreats UK in over 20 weeks in varies locations around the world, doing a combination of training and massage. In Divans spare time he’s a very keen runner and is currently training for an iron man event.
